1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the PersonalityVIEW app and website.

We are Ovvio Solutions, trading as personalityview.com.

You can contact us at privacy@personalityview.com or info@personalityview.com.

Our registered address is Nieuwe Rijn 55B, 2312 JH Leiden, Netherlands.

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Who may use the app

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.

The AI coach has a separate age gate. You must be at least 18 years old to use the AI coach.

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

If you are under 18, you may use the non-coach features only.

3. Your account

You need an account to use most features. You can sign in with email, Apple, or Google.

You may set a display name, username, and profile photo. Your username creates a public profile URL.

You are responsible for your account. Keep your sign-in details safe.

You are responsible for all activity that happens through your account.

Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed your account.

Do not share your account with anyone else. Do not sell or transfer your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the app lawfully and respectfully.

You must not harass, bully, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users. This includes behaviour in the friends and circles features.

You must not upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or harmful.

You must not impersonate another person or create a misleading profile.

You must not try to access another user's private data or messages.

You must not interfere with the app's security, servers, or networks.

You must not scrape, copy, or resell the app or its content without our permission.

You must not use automated tools to create accounts or send unwanted messages.

You are responsible for what you submit. We may remove content that breaks these rules.

5. Subscriptions and free tier

The app offers a free tier and paid subscriptions.

The free tier gives you access to basic features. It may show advertising in the test flow.

A subscription gives you access to paid features, including the AI coach.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them.

If we offer a free trial, it also renews into a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

You can cancel a subscription or trial in your app store account settings.

A lifetime purchase is a one-time purchase. It gives you access to the paid features that were included at the time of purchase.

A lifetime purchase does not include the AI coach. The AI coach is included only with an active subscription.

6. Billing and refunds

We do not process payments. Payments are handled by Apple or Google through their in-app purchase systems.

Billing, payment methods, taxes, and receipt handling are governed by the app store terms.

We cannot process refunds ourselves. Refund requests go to Apple or Google. This does not affect any statutory right of withdrawal or refund you have under consumer law where you live.

If you cancel a subscription, you keep access until the end of the current billing period, unless app store rules say otherwise.

We may change prices or features through the app store. The store will show any changes before you confirm a purchase.

7. User content and licence

You keep ownership of the content you create or upload. This includes your profile, test answers, personality result, messages to the AI coach, and feedback.

You grant us a licence to store, display, process, and transmit that content to provide the app. This licence is non-exclusive, worldwide, and royalty-free.

The licence covers showing your public profile to friends and circles according to your settings. It also covers sending your messages to the AI coach so it can reply.

You can remove content by deleting it in the app. You can also delete your account. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except where we need to keep data for legal or operational reasons.

You confirm that you have the right to share any content you submit.

Your test answers are private. They are never shown to other users.

Your four-letter personality result and chosen strengths can appear on your public profile. This happens only if you turn that on.

8. Personality result

The personality result is for self-reflection.

It is not a clinical, diagnostic, or employment-screening instrument.

Do not use the result to make medical, legal, employment, insurance, or similar decisions.

We do not guarantee that the result is accurate, complete, or useful for your situation.

9. AI coach

The AI coach is a conversational feature. You must be 18 or older to use it.

The AI coach is not therapy, counselling, or medical care.

The AI coach is not legal, financial, or professional advice.

No patient relationship is created. No doctor, therapist, lawyer, or financial advisor is involved.

The AI coach may produce responses that are incomplete, incorrect, or not suitable for you. Use your own judgement.

If you need help with your mental health, a legal matter, or a financial decision, contact a qualified professional.

We store AI coach messages for 90 days. You can clear them at any time in the app.

10. Availability and changes

We try to keep the app available, but we do not promise it will always work.

We may update, change, suspend, or remove features at any time.

We may need to interrupt the service for maintenance, repairs, or updates.

We may change these terms. If we make material changes, we will tell you through the app or another reasonable way.

If you continue to use the app after the change, you accept the new terms.

11. Termination by either side

You can stop using the app at any time. You can delete your account in the app.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, if we believe your use is harmful, or if the law requires it.

If we terminate your account, your right to use the app ends. You must stop using the app.

Deleting your account removes your data from our systems as described in the privacy policy.

Sections that should survive termination, such as disclaimers and liability limits, will continue to apply.

12. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available".

We do not promise that the app will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

We do not make warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, except where the law does not allow us to exclude them.

The personality result, AI coach, and other content are informational only. They are not a substitute for professional advice.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer law that cannot be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

This includes loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or loss of opportunity.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. If you have not paid anything, our liability is limited to the minimum amount allowed by law.

This limit does not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

The courts of Amsterdam have jurisdiction over any dispute about these terms.

If you are a consumer in the EEA, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
